Some guest stars from the past will join us for a worshipping of the great Bacchus, and tons of twisted shit will be witnessed - you do NOT want to miss this! Silence has never been broken quite like this... Recording and filming of the new album 'Rosewood' is on it's way, stay tuned for the release in the spring of 2012. Where have all the bass players gone! 13.1.2011 Whoopsiedaisy - you're favorite härömetal band Schmorf is - for a change - one bass player shorter! Heretofor we announce, that we are NOT looking for a bass player. We would thus want for everyone, who The new material for the new album is turning out to be pretty easily arranged, so we'll probably start recording it in February or March.
The new release - what, when, where and how! 1.1.2011 Maybe it's now time to unveil some of the mystery involving the new release. It is going to be a theme album, with a continuous storyline. And to not make things THAT easy, we're going to film video to all of the record, goddamnit! So it will resemble a movie, from many aspects. Pink Floys tried to do this way back, but let's face it, it wasn't pretty to look at. How about doing it the right way now? It will not be a musical, but it's hard to put a term to it, because it's an almost unseen format. If there would be a term for it, it could be, for example, 'Gorthflaxbongophonix'. The story will be strongly influenced by the famous horror series from the 80's, and the songs will function in and of itself, too. The lyrics are of course tied to the story, but who listens to them anyway! Very close to a movie, as you can see. A music video is of one particular song, maybe this is a 'music album'? I don't know. Making the magic happen is a few notches more difficult now, because it is not enough that a song sounds good or has a cool structure. Now the composing, lyrics, sound, structure and everything else must fit the story and the video. In plain English: one motherfucking pain in the ass. According the initial schedule, the songs are rehearsed in january and february, recorded in march-april, and the postproduction after this. Filming would commence during audio postproduction, as soon as we git rid of this god-awful snow. Schmorf unanimously hates winter. Should be banned. The songs would probably be played live in the beginning of summer. The filming should not take that long, but video postproduction - there's one big fucking chunk of work. Nothing will be released before everything is done. Where is the premiere? That is for us to work out and for you to find out! Too many insecurities for now. We are aiming for a DVD (perhaps Blu-Ray, too) release late in the Fall. |
