3.12.2008 - Olli in da house! Hear yee! From the most infernal bowels of hell i give you OLLI! The 5-string demon jumped into our midst just a few weeks ago, perfectly timed to put on some recording boots and join the studio team! The first live initiation also came quite nicely in the middle of recordings, too. Again the band evolves and improves, and the main focus is the recording of the upcoming album. 15.11.2008 Just to make things more confusing for us, we decided to play a Studio Sucks-gig at Vapaa-ajan Talo, Kälviä. Don't take it wrong, working round the clock-days with the new material is a blast and all, but there comes a point where you need to take some distance from the task at hand. That time is now. The gig is with a few other bands, Stigmatize, Intromed, TND and Dreamers. Schmorf will kick things off at 20.15. Tickets are 3e, and the doors will open at 20.00. Don't you dare to miss this one! 28.10.2008 Well hello there! (-O.W. Kenobi) Studio has become familiar, and vocals and postproduction is still on the 'todo'-list, and we're done with the first sample of the whole batch of songs we're recording this time! 13.10.2008 Missed us much? As you know - the peace loving, slacking, relaxing types we are - we have been working our asses off, actually. There's pretty fucking much to tell you so let's start with the studio shit. To keep a closer track of it, visit the STUDIO DIARIES, it will be updated every day we visit the studio. As every studio session, this one started with rehearsing new material, and setting up equipment. Again, the hardest thing was to funnel the material to reveal the best of the best. This was done, and an initial plan of the releases are as follows (in order of release): 1) An internet single with a re-recording of Face Polish - Disapproval, to honor the greatness of the song with proper sounds. And then for the fallout of the GBU-spectacle! Two live recordings are available at youtube, check them out! Girls Just Wanna Have Fun And for a completely new track by Alfa Omega & The Päissääns called Hei Arto! is also at youtube, HERE. What does all this mean? It means the Five Month Plan (c) is implemented as we speak. During recording all the background stuff is also happening, selling gigs, designing new material and all this. Also, for some partly sad news, we have left The Church of the Unholy. In fact, we got out at the last minute, as we were about to be thrown out. Somehow the management of the institution didn't share our sense of humor... So much for turning the other cheek. The funny thing is, two days after we left the place, the joint burned. 12.8.2008 The Five Month Plan! As you've probably noticed, we've been knee-deep in organizing The Good, The Bad And The Ugly -project, but here's a short-term plan for Schmorf, before the shit REALLY hits the fans with touring and shit'n stuff. Firstly, some brand spankin' new tunes has been rehearsed, so we are definitely looking at a new release sometime during 2008. Will it be an EP, an album or something different, is not evident right now, but at least 4 new songs will be recorded. My crystal ball is kinda hazy, but i think it is trying to say that the total number will be more. A few gigs will definitely be witnessed. These will be added to the GIGS-page as soon as they're confirmed. Now is also the first time in a loooooooong time that we're able to concentrate totally on polishing the songs, and that will be utilised as much as possible. Stay tuned for pics from gigs, and maybe - JUST MAYBE - some absolutely normal videos taped by totally sober people doing everyday things. You know what sarcasm means, don't you?
20.7.2008 We have seen no flood like the questions coming in about The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, it's kinda cool to witness the level of enthusiasm by you guys! Well, here's a short explanation: Three bands, namely Schmorf, Stigmatize and Narmer got together and decided that it's time to stir things up a bit, and the seed of an idea was born to create The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. Stigmatize being The Good, Narmer The Bad, and (to no big surprise - i might add) Schmorf as The Ugly. This fits into the master plan perfectly, as the whole idea to begin with was to expand the concept of performing to something a little more... interesting. Since day one this has been the goal. Now we are taking a huge step in realizing this. Yes, there will be gigs, yes, there will be music, and yes, everything that has happened before, but now with an extra dose of... well, EVERYTHING. The first performance will consist of three metal bands strutting their stuff and a whole hell of a lot of shit'n stuff. So get to the website and check things out, 'cause now the shit is about to hit the fans big time!
12.7.2008 Here it is! Secrets are revealed! The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is HERE! This project has been in the making for some time now, and now the plan has been set in motion! The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is three bands (Stigmatize, Narmer and Schmorf), three unlikely companions, who are set to change the paradigms of performing, touring and thinking up goofy shit for you to enjoy. So there IS going to be more of the 'unexpected'-type of stuff coming your way! Maybe, just maybe we will have some gigs with only Schmorf, but the near future is more or less GBA-oriented.

And this is the reason for a pause in updating, we've been up to our ears in doing unholy, wicked plans. Not long before we are to reveal all the things. Patience, i say! 5.6.2008 Satans of Blackmetal -tour is now officially done! And officially, it will start again in a month. In the language of 'Schmorf', this means rehearsing new material, and thinking up goofy shit for y'all. Those of you who has read the papers, at least HERE, knows that again - we are up to wishy washy, no-good stuff! In the late summer, you will find out if we are Good, Bad or Ugly... 18.5.2008 Way to go Sweden! Not even one own goal! That's better than anyone expected. Bengt-Åke, how about a dayjob? Medals do not suit blue and yellow anyway, so i think it's obvious that this is for the best. It's always nice to see Sweden roll over and die during the hockeygames, but at least they lost to Switzerland by only 2 goals. Improvement by our dear neighbors!

19.3.2008 Finalization is complete! The covers and shit is done for the brand new EP, check them out here! 18.2.2008 Excuse me, but what's on the menu? Recording, and the learning and executing of mixing and mastering for you, my kind sir! After the gig at Ravintola Kultakala, camp schmorf gathered it's possessions and rendezvoused at Lahnakoski Records, with new songs on their mind. Read the details at Studio Diaries. We also got into the business of mixing and mastering ourselves, and my god the Big Emptiness, this gamble paid off. The new stuff sounds so awesome you want to cry. But in the name of all things holy, do not take our word for it, listen to some new material, by all means! If i'm not totally off track, it should be playing in the player above, so... For a week or two, we will still be locked up at the Slimy Bowels of the Darned, what our mixing and mastering den is called. After this, all you folks will be treated with a good dose of schmorfine, in the form of an EP! 20.1.2008 A bunch of shit'n stuff is set to happen, so here we go! 'THE' next thing is the upcoming gig, which will kick off a new era in the age of schmorf, being our first weekend headlining show. New songs WILL be heard and an unpredictable stage show is hitting the joint friday the 25.1! After the gig a few days has been set aside for studio, again, to polish up the rest of the record. 5.1.2008 The new year has begun, and the stars are set in an ominous shape. What the french would call a certain... i don't know what, but i DO know that this is THE year! To kick off this all, 25.1 there will be the first headlining gig for schmorf at Ravintola Kultakala in Kalajoki! Here's the numbers: doors open at 21, tickets 6€, gig starts at 00.30. 1.11.2007 Hear yee, Hear yee! Thus it came to pass that henceforth a sound came to existence, thou shalt be saved! Before the dawning of time there was an entity so vile and disgusting, that no one dare speak it's name. After the invention of time and matter, and 'the big emptiness(tm)', for that matter, it saw many great things. Even greater number of lesser things, such as god complexed singers with delusions of grandeur, ugly bass players with hair growing from the oh so wrong parts of their body. After munching these tiny, insignificant leptons - used as a mild flavor in his morning gruel, he was awe-stricken. The first rays of 'Metaschmorfosis' struck his medulla oblongata with surgical precision. Death was instant, and the cause of death was: 'being killed'. What is this? This is a glimpse of twistedness! This is a beginning of something beaut.... horrible! This is the dawning of the day of aqu.... puke! An ocean of urine with a sea of excrement stuck in there somewhere! By the way, we do take offers to perform at children's parties and such. This is the part where you all ask 'what in the name of arja koriseva are you babbling on about?' Well, how should i know, i just write this shit! Do not ask me! Here's the deal, teh lowdown, my two cents, the whole enchilada: FINALLY THE SINGLE IS DONE. 3.10.2007 Things have sure been quiet here at schmorf.com, but not at camp schmorf! In a few days the lineup changes and latest about the single and the album will be revealed. The single should have been released a few weeks ago, but for the goodness of our hearts, we allowed Nightwish to grab the spotlight for a second. Would hate to steal their thunder, being their comeback and all. Next gig date is also set, and that will be a great opportunity for us to showcase our mild and conventional tunes and performances outside our own turf. This will also be the public revealing of our new lineup with a new guitar player, and a live keyboard player, as well! So the 5000-pound livesound will get EVEN fatter! Don't miss it, details at the GIGS -page! So, in a few days, a bunch of stuff will be unraveled!
27.8.2007 A quick update! The first studio release by schmorf is now in the mixing process! We had a raw mix of one of the songs to review, and ohmygod... Crushes like a bulldozer! The quest for a new guitar player is also underway, more of that soon. The webpages will also be renewed to give them the edge they deserve. The pic gallery will undergo the biggest overhaul, with TONS of new pictures included! We are, indeed, on the verge of big things...
20.8.2007 Guitar player needed! Eetu made the decision to move to another town to go to school there, and here we are one man short of a band! Eetu made great contributions to the band, wrote great pieces of music and had the mental endurance of a zen master to just be around the guys, let alone record take after take in the studio with the band. For that and more, we are eternally grateful. Cheers! The gig played at RockParty (check out GIG INFO) was the last with Eetu, and we are sorry for the man with the stage presence and playing ability comparable with the absolute best, leaving. But some things change and some stay the same! The future of schmorf is looking out to get lively and busy, so on to next things! During this short history of the band, it has come infinitely evident, that you can take the man out of schmorf, but it is down right impossible to take schmorf out of the man. Every former member can be described as 'Full time honorary member for life and beyond'. schmorf wishes all the best to Eetu in his future endeavors! We will meet again!
13.8.2007 Here we go! The first release is about hit the street! This 3 song single will include the songs: Choice, Face Polish - Disapproval, and Empty. The covers are being polished as we speak, and mixing is ongoing. This means only a few days, and you will get your first injection of schmorf, the cure to end all cures! These songs will be, of course, added to the audio player on these pages and in the myspage pages. The covers, lyrics and all the additional material will be added here at the exact time of release, so stay tuned!
8.8.2007 Perfecting the record, that's where! The studio equipment have found a new location, and who else to be there than good 'ole schmorf! Guitar doubling, keyboards and vocals are in line next. This means a few weeks, and we are a launch. So get ready! Studio diaries for details! The next gig was set to 18.8, so next week everyone gather at English Pub for some radio hits and mainstream beautiful earcandy!
27.7.2007 The schmorf-team is climbing slowly out of the studio and stretching it's limbs! Number of songs to be completed is 12, with any luck 13. Some final segments will be recorded before mixing and mastering, namely vocals and keyboards/programming. This means the deadline comes too soon. A new deadline will not be set, but as things progress they will be updated here!
21.6.2007 Studio shit revisited! The band is going to hit the studio right after the next gig on the 9. of july, and the next two weeks from there on will be recording time! The list of tracks which will be cut is not totally clear yet, but the first demo will be re-recorded, now with the equipment the songs deserve! After that, focus will be turned towards the newer, even more sickly compositions of music. This means, there will be some studio songs for you to enjoy (yeah right...) by the end of july. That being said, the number of songs to record will be anything from 5 to 15, plus maybe a few easter eggs that no-one can predict... And of course, a studio diary will be updated every day while the project is ongoing. The live recordings will be up for grabs in the next few days, to get a little teaser from the new stuff created. 12.6.2007 The Big Emptiness has shown it's unpredictability again, and spewed out a NEW SHOW! The date is 7.7.7, which is - no doubt - a sign of things to come. This show is an outdoors-type of gig, so be prepared and there! This event goes by the name of WestParkRock, so BE THERE! For all you on the mailing list, i might inform you that a special surprise is being set up to all of you! So join the mailing list and stay tuned to all things schmorf!
9.6.2007 Now the monster has opened it's eyes for the first time and learning what malevolent, morbid acts of sadism it can spew out at everyone! This means the first gig has been played... The gig was perfect and beyond, read more about it at the gig info page. Now here's the lowdown on what happened behind the scenes. The whole gig was recorded with an eye on quality, audio and video both. This means some live tunes will be incorporated in the mp3player on these pages, and probably to be downloaded also. Some video clips will also have some spots in schmorfTV, the only channel with absolutely NO commercial breaks! The still pictures will of course be added to the pics page in the near future. So a lot is being worked on then added here in the world of zeros and ones! The whole gig will be a part of the DVD, with best quality, naturally. So for all these updates, stay tuned!
28.5.2007 Now is the time to look inside the crystal ball and reveal some of the future plans for schmorf! A lot of songs has been completed, so after the 'schmorf around the universe'-tour consisting of one gig, our focus shifts towards those tunes. After some polishing here and there, we are ready for our second studio sessions! Because of the amount of material we have, we will probably spend some time there, so at the end of summer we should have a lot of recorded songs for you to enjoy! The gig will be recorded also, so the DVD is being filled up with sickening footage at a nice speed, too. Check out this part of the pages to stay in the loop for next moves!

Mark this in your schedules with letters big as... something as big as.... something very big! 7.6.2006, so let's kick off this upcoming summer with some twisted tunes! We trust you to be there! This means tons of rehearsing, and the filming of some songs at the Church of the Unholy, rehearsal live, if you may.
25.4.2007 Lineup changes again! schmorf's first bass player Caala has been replaced by an individual called Johnny Fakk. Caala contributed to the band, and we wish him the best in all aspects of life. We hope you make it big time! Johnny Fakk is learning the songs as we speak, and is going to be a great addition to the band! To learn more about this certain one, visit his bio! 20.3.2007 To all our fans (we like to kid ourselves) who's been expecting some tunes coming your way, the studio sessions were shelved for a while. A lot of 'we demand an explanation!'-messages have to be answered right now. First off, the studio visit was good and we produced nice drum tracks, as explained in the 'studio diary'-section. But one little minor thingamajiggy we realized was that the songs we're not ready. Which kind of makes things difficult in the process we call recording... But now the tunes are better than ever, some have gone through a more extensive overhaul, while some were just fine tuned a wee bit. Now we have some editing to do, after what we're going to record the rest. We've reserved a few days for editing, so the recording should start no later than next week. I might add that our guitar players are fully capable of cutting 1-2 tracks a day (no pressure, boys!), so by the end of the month we should have a few songs up and running here at our website and our first demo. I have to remind you that the material we have consists of at least 5-10 songs outside of the demo tracks, so expect more songs within a short period of time. Also, expect some minor changes to the website, for example a new feature called 'schmorfTV', some lyrics and tabs for the songs, and so forth. So stay tuned!
11.1.2007 Hilipatihippan to you all, again! The preliminary studio dates are set, and they are 11.1, 12.1, 18.1 and 19.1. Surely a few days will be added to fix our fuck-ups in there, so check out the studio diary for them. This means also lots of updates to this site, mostly, as mentioned, the studio diary, the lyrics section, videos, pictures, well, most of the sections, and the updates will be daily. Almost, if not. The plan is to record 6-7 of our own songs, and probably 1-2 covers also. All of the songs will equal our first EP, working name is 'Control pt. 4'. That name will change. The core of the EP will make a demo, the working name there is 'Magical Experience, the extraordinary expulsion of endotermic effervescent'. That name will probably stay with it. The DVD in progress right now will take you on a tour to the slimy bowels of schmorf, and will feature at least 1 music video, interviews, outtakes from rehearsals, the trailer to 'schmorf - the movie', tons of pictures, a featurette 'schmorf - the making of the (fi)(wo)rst band in history', and lots more. I would like to point out that we are very modest in our doings, but you already know that! Stay tuned for updates!
8.1.2007 Just liked to take some time to write to all you fans... Well, both of you... Wait a minute! No one there! Impossible! Oh well... Some bad news and some bad news this time, again. Our keyboard player, matto is now schmorf's former keyboard player. But to all you hoping out there that the band is falling apart, not gonna happen! Of course we wish matto the best and luck to all his future endeavors, catch you on the flipside! The bad news is there has been some evil force controlling the universe for at least a split second, because schmorf is heading for studio sessions shortly! Before you start to cry, here's the bad part. We will be recording quite a few tunes for a demo AND an EP, but also making a dvd (poor, poor you), so the times are getting definitely worse! Stay tuned for a studio diary also! Here we are rubbing our hairy hands together, because a lot is happening!

We think there is some indecency and twistedness around, because a singer has emerged from the valley of the shadow of death, geared and ready to violate you people! That means the sick schmorfers will make shit hit the fan sooner than anyone thought possible... 28.9.2006 Our notebooks are filling up with useless junk, which is also called 'music', made by schmorf. Training is going as planned, that is very badly. We are happy! Soon - very soon - you poor you, will hear something that'll make your ears scream for mercy. Not in a nice, cuddly, positive way, i might add. That means, by default, that we will have to play live. That project goes by the name 'let's fuck up some songs by others, and the ones we wrote also'. We live exciting times. Check out the 'pics' for... well... pics.
